Project Manager

What is your role in AI-PROGNOSIS?

As the Project Manager and Researcher at NeuroTransData (NTD), I play a pivotal role in coordinating our contributions to the AI-PROGNOSIS project.

As a clinical and user-oriented partner in the AI-PROGNOSIS project, NTD role primarily focuses on leveraging our expertise in real-world data and predictive modeling. Specifically, we contribute by sharing valuable assets and know-how from two of our key platforms: DESTINY and PHREND.

DESTINY, our DatabasE-AssiSted Therapy decIsioN support sYstem, offers insights into clinical decision-making based on extensive neurological data.

PHREND (Predictive-Healthcare-with-Real-World-Evidence-for-Neurological Disorders), our predictive healthcare model for neurological disorders, integrates real-world evidence to improve disease prognosis and treatment planning.

By contributing these resources, we aim to support the development of AI-driven tools that enhance early detection and personalized treatment in neurological diseases, particularly Parkinson’s.

Our role is not only about providing data but also ensuring that the AI solutions being developed are practical and effective in real clinical settings. We work closely with the project’s technical teams to ensure that the AI models are aligned with the needs of both clinicians and patients. We cordially invite you to explore our publications featured in esteemed, peer-reviewed journals, showcasing our commitment to advancing scientific knowledge and innovation within our industry.

What are your main activities in the project?

As the Project Manager, I am responsible for overseeing NTD's main contributions to the AI-PROGNOSIS project, ensuring the smooth collaboration between our team and external partners. My role involves facilitating the sharing of assets and know-how from DESTINY and PHREND, coordinating data sharing and validation activities, and driving dissemination efforts and stakeholder engagement. Additionally, I work with our specialists, leveraging their deep expertise in neurological diseases and real-world data applications, to support the project’s objectives. My focus is on managing timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure that our contributions are impactful and aligned with the broader goals of AI-PROGNOSIS.

Main activities and contributions of NTD (as a Clinical and user-oriented partner) to AI-PROGNOSIS are the following:

  • Sharing relevant assets and know-how from our DESTINY and PHREND

  • Sharing insights from our team of specialists, who possess deep knowledge in neurological diseases and real-world data applications

  • Data Sharing and Validation

  • Dissemination and Stakeholder Engagement

While this overview highlights our contributions to the project, our expertise at NeuroTransData (NTD) extends far beyond Parkinson's disease. Our comprehensive database encompasses a wide range of neurological and psychiatric conditions, including migraine, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, depression, and bipolar disorder. This breadth of knowledge enables us to deliver valuable insights across various therapeutic areas, further advancing the field of neurological research and patient care.

What is your motivation?

My motivation stems from a desire to harness technology to improve patient outcomes in neurological diseases. Having transitioned from academia to industry, my passion lies in translating research and real-world data into practical applications that enhance clinical care. AI-PROGNOSIS presents a unique opportunity for me to combine my expertise in project management with my deep interest in AI-driven healthcare innovations.

At NTD, we are are excited to be part of the AI-PROGNOSIS project because it aligns with what drives us every day: using technology to make a real difference in people's lives. Neurological diseases, like Parkinson’s, are life-changing for patients and their families. Early detection and personalized treatment can make a world of difference, and that’s exactly what this project aims to do.

Our work at NeuroTransData has always been about helping neurologists provide the best care possible by using real-world data. Being able to predict how a disease might progress gives doctors the tools they need to make quicker, more informed decisions. This means better outcomes for patients, which is what we’re all about.

By joining this project, we’re building on the experience we’ve gained with our platforms like PHREND and DESTINY, but now we’re taking it further. AI has the power to revolutionize how we understand and treat neurological diseases, and being part of this collaboration allows us to be at the forefront of that change.

At the end of the day, our motivation is simple: we want to make sure that the data we work with every day is transformed into something meaningful—something that helps doctors provide the best possible care and gives patients a better quality of life. We believe AI-PROGNOSIS is a step toward that goal, and we’re proud to be contributing to it.
