What is your role in AI-PROGNOSIS?

I am a Co-Investigator in the AI-PROGNOSIS project and the local Principal Investigator representing FMH partner.

What are your main activities in the project?

Contributing to the design, development and implementation of AI-driven tools for Parkinson's disease assessment. I am involved in domain and data landscape reviews, user research, co-creation sessions, and relevant studies. This includes conducting an advanced literature review on digital assessments, designing and analyzing a web survey to identify user needs, and assisting in the development of a motor digital assessment tool.

What is your motivation?

My motivation stems from a strong passion for advancing scientific knowledge, particularly at the intersection of AI and healthcare. In the AI-PROGNOSIS project, we aim to extract explainable insights from research to drive innovations that can significantly impact patient care and diagnostics. This initiative also provides an opportunity to collaborate with interdisciplinary experts, pushing the boundaries of AI’s capabilities in areas like Parkinson's disease assessment. Ultimately, it allows us to share our findings through impactful publications that not only inform but also transform clinical practices and enhance patient outcomes.
